We store the information you provide during your account creation, when you sign up to events, and provide feedback about other users you have met. This information includes your name, email, date of birth, gender, nationality, personality quiz answers, compatibility survey answers. In addition, users can optionally provide their phone number and sync their contacts. We also collect information when you voluntarily provide feedback, report/block users, or contact us.

How do we use this information?

We use this information to manage your account and find suitable members to match you with during events. We also use this information to look for ways to improve the app. For example, it may be used to train an AI for better group matching or to improve the current matching algorithm.

Your phone number and contacts are used solely to:

• Identify if your friends are already on the app, and
• Enable you to directly refer friends who are not yet on the app.

Our platform matches users based on their compatibility. We also use this information to look for ways to improve the app. We collect compatibility survey information and personality tests to have a basis for operating our matching algorithm. We also use this data to train an AI, which we envision will provide even better matching. We do not rank or label personalities critically, for example, as 'good' or 'bad'. Compatibility survey results are honest reflections of interactions between user personalities. Therefore, we believe there is minimal risk to our users in the event of a data breach or attempts to use their data maliciously.

Access to your information and correction

Where your data is stored

We store your data securely using Google Firebase, a third-party cloud storage service. Firebase provides reliable and secure infrastructure to ensure the safety of your data.

How Firebase protects your data

Sharing data with third parties

Your data is shared with Firebase solely for storage and operational purposes. Firebase does not use your data for any advertising or tracking purposes. We do not sell or share your data with other third parties, except as required by law.

• With your explicit consent (e.g. syncing your phone contacts).

Account Deletion, Data Retention, & Revoking Consent

When you delete your account, certain pseudonymized data may be retained for legitimate business purposes, such as event archival, analysis, and improving our services. This data includes, but is not limited to:

• Your personality test results.
• Your group participation history.
• Compatibility survey results related to archived events.
• Report history.

This data is retained to maintain the integrity and historical accuracy of event archives, which include compatibility survey results, pre-matching groups & matched groups. This data is kept for legitimate business reasons to allow for the improvement of our matching system and AI model. We retain report data for the safety and security of our users as it may be required for ongoing investigations.

All retained data, excluding report data, is pseudonymized and stored securely. It is not associated with any personally identifiable information (e.g., your name, email, or profile picture) and cannot be used to identify you directly or indirectly.

You have the right to request more information about the data we retain and its purpose or request the deletion of any remaining data where legally applicable.

Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete all associated personal data (e.g., name, email, profile picture) from our systems and Firebase's servers within 90 days.
